I will be seeing this soon hopefully, I really enjoyed all the other X-Men films, but especially First Class. Who will be seeing this?

I want to see it, but I'm not sure I'll get the chance. I also want to see Malificent. They say this films is really good, but not as ground-breaking as the Dark Knight Trilogy or Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

I just realised the film was released in Germany yesterday. I'll probably watch it in the first week of June (if one of my local cinemas shows it in English, that is)!

I am definitely going to see this one. It's gotten a lot of good reviews, so I'm hoping it's something I'll enjoy too. We shall see...

I did indeed, and in fact I've enjoyed all of them so far except for X-Men Origins: Wolverine and X-Men 3. Those ones weren't super terrible films, but they were nowhere near the bar that was set by X-Men 2 and X-Men: First Class.

See I'm one of the few people who actually like X-Men 3 and X-Men more than X-Men 2 from the first trilogy. I just didn't find 2 as good as the others. And I liked 3 because Jean Grey is my all time favourite mutant, and there was a lot of her in it. Dark Phoenix is awesome.

See, I thought the second was the best of the original trilogy because it was a perfectly told story where all the pieces fell into place perfectly. I dunno. That's my take.

Most people seem to like the second the best, it has higher ratings everywhere and better reviews than the other two. I think I'm the odd one out haha, I haven't met someone else who likes the 3rd one more than the 2nd one yet. What can I say, I love me some Jean Grey haha.

I love Dark Phoenix! I think she has such a cool story. Going from a woman who thought she was weak, thinking she was weaker than all the X-men, then discovering she was actually stronger than all of them in an amazing way! Sure, she lost control of it for a while, but she's only human after all... or only mutant at least.

I never read the original comics so I don't really know the story of the Phoenix. What scared me about her in the movie was that the Phoenix personality was so incredibly powerful but also kind of insane. *shudders*

The third one was disappointing because the Dark Phoenix saga in the comics was waaaaaay more epic in scope and impact. This would have been a great chance to actually flesh out Cyclops as a character instead of sticking to the trend of "Wolverine and friends" which has been the core of all of the movies other than First Class.
That said, I really liked DoFP, it was solidly told and better put together than most of the others. There were some things I wish they would have expanded(more Bishop) but overall I liked it.
