Hello there. Guess who I used to be. I thought a name change was in order. I was kind of getting sick of the old one anyway. I'm looking forward to having heaps of fun here in my new online home. It looks like a library. Only it's on my screen.

You got it right away, Liv. I guess I didn't make it all that hard then, huh? I think the new name suits me better.

I'm still getting the hang of the settings on this forum, so thanks for pointing that out. I'll try a larger font. Is that more comfortable to read?
As for my new username, it's basically the name of a bard who's believed to have lived in sixth century Britain. He's often associated with the Book of Taliesin, a tenth century text that contains his poems. The reason I chose this as my username is because of another book called Taliesin by Stephen R. Lawhead. It's my favourite fantasy novel, and he was such a great character in that.

Now your text is huge lol. You don't have to set anything for text size, it should do it automatically for you That's a pretty cool story behind your name. I'll have to check out Taliesin and that book too.

Yeah, it's weird. I can only switch between super huge text or this size text. It's a bit frustrating. Otherwise, I'm loving it here so far!
Another thing I forgot to mention about Taliesin is that there are kind of two versions of him as far as I understand. There's the historical one that apparently little is known about, and then there's the mythologised one who's supposed to be the father of Merlin. Either way, he seems like he was a suitably mysterious and interesting guy.

Yeah, unfortunately, some things are lacking that we're used to. But if the place actually gets used enough, I'd be willing to pay to get extra features for us or pay to move to a better host for sure. Hey, who's to say he wasn't the father of Merlin either way? What fun is mythology if you don't think it's real

Well, I'd like to believe that he was the father of Merlin after all. I mean, how cool would that be?

That would be especially awesome. See, there's a topic for the fantasy section ... maybe I should make a mythology section lol

Oh, yes! Do it! That would be very cool, and then I could create a thread about him and everything!
