I haven't set a specific goal for 2014, but so far I've read: Kushiel's Dart (Jacqueline Carey) Kushiel's Chosen (Jacqueline Carey) The Heart of Christianity (Marcus Borg) The God We Never Knew (Marcus Borg) The God Delusion (Richard Dawkins) The Biology of Belief (Bruce Lipton) A bunch of short fantasy stories on Wattpad (too many to list) Hands of Light (Barbara somebody who I can't remember her last name atm) and I'm currently in the middle of Words of Radiance (Brandon Sanderson)
Looking back on it... that is a pretty bizarre list...lol

A lot of religious books there close together I see. Any reason for that in particular?

Could you recommend any other books about the same topic?

A lot of religious books there close together I see. Any reason for that in particular? hahahaha I don't quite know what to tell you about that. Loooooong story! Also a story that not many people would a) care to hear or b) be able to handle. T'is a story that wouldn't make much sense to an Atheist either I suspect. At any rate, it sure doesn't belong in this thread...lol. I've read The God Delusion and I really liked it. Could you recommend any other books about the same topic? Do you mean about Atheism? I find it to be a fascinating perspective on life though it isn't one that I share. In trying to understand the Atheist's view of the world, Anon suggested I read Dawkins and the other suggestion was from Sparrow on TFF: Christopher Hitchens. I haven't gotten around to reading Hitchens yet, but he's on my list. I wrote a review of The God Delusion (I gave it a 9/10) but never posted it since theism vs atheism can be such a touchy subject for some people. In chatting about it with Anon on Skype, he suggested that I try The Selfish Gene instead. My understanding of that one is that it focuses more on science and evolution/biology as a means of creation rather than strictly on the question of whether or not God exists like The God Delusion does. I haven't read it yet though so I can't be sure of that.

I just finished my 7th book for the year. I'm doing much better this year, considering last year I only read 9 all year.

I'm still struggling to get through my current book. It's good. I'm just not good at reading consistently.
