Like it says on the tin, what comics are you reading now? I surely can't be the only one on here that enjoys them. I'll start. I never thought the Moomin strip would be the same once Tove left it and her little brother took it over, but it turned out to be just as good as her incarnation of it. Who knew, right?

I'm reading the Graphic novel adaptation of 'A Song of Ice and Fire' and yes it's an adaptation of the books, not the series. So it's quite different and more accurate.

None right now. But I did buy this a while ago and am planning on reading it sometime soon.

If it's as good as Rucka's recent run on The Punisher it'll be fantastic.
For my part I'm reading through the G. I. Joe classic series, which is way better than you'd expect for a comic written to sell toys(my nostalgia may have something to do with that too). I'm also reading a lot of regular series as they come out but I'll have to look through my stuff to see what all I'm reading and what all I've cancelled.

I'm often not that enamoured with most comics that are based on literary works, and it's because they usually seem to go out of their way to choose crap artists. None right now. But I did buy this a while ago and am planning on reading it sometime soon. I've never heard of this. What's it about?

This is the plot I found online
"The series is centered on Tara Chace, an operative of the Special Operations Section of SIS, colloquially known as the Minders. It attempts to portray the bureaucracy and politics which the agents deal with realistically, as well as including the dangerous missions typical of the spy genre."
That's about all I know haha. I just got it because it sounded interesting and wanted a new graphic novel to read.

I sometimes wish it was slightly less cartoony, but I think the art fits well because there is more fantasy involved, which is cut out in the series. Sometimes you wished for more variety. Bran looks like mini-Robb as you can see in this picture.

Picked up Love and Rockets no.4 today. I don't even have the other volumes yet but I couldn't resist this cover!

Currently enthralled with Harlan Ellison's 7 Against Chaos.
Filled with space ships, magic, time travel, Reptoid nazis, and plenty of ass kicking. Highly recommend it if your a fan of Ellison or its a good place to wet your feet if you haven't delved into his worlds.
Caution: You won't be the same after reading gratuitous amounts of Ellison. He's infectious.

Is he as infectious as Neil Gaiman? I might have to check him out. It's been ages since I've read any comics.

Ellison is one of Gaiman's big influences, they're also good friends and Gaiman is prominently featured in the documentary "Dreams with Sharp Teeth" about Ellison. Ellison's work has also been prominently stolen by other people(most notably in the form of The Terminator) so that should tell you something about his influence and ability as a writer.
Personally I wasn't blown away by 7 Against Chaos, but I think that had more to do with how it was advertised than anything. There's definitely some nice stuff but it has trouble finding its pace imo. I think for sci-fi/sci-fantasy I'll stick with Saga which I highly recommend to everyone.
Speaking of Neil Gaiman, Liv, you may be interested in the Sandman series they're putting out right now, Overture. Only two issues out so far and there was a three month gap between them but it's pretty neat.
Finally, I just read Godzilla: Awakening, which is a prequel to the film out next week. It was interesting to see the way they changed the Godzilla origin while also keeping it linked to the classic mythos. It wasn't as good as some of the Godzilla stuff IDW has been doing but it's interesting if you're a Godzilla fan.

I am very interested in the new Sandman series, but I'm going to wait until it's compiled into a graphic novel like the others. If I read one issue, I won't be able to wait for the others and it will drive me mad.

I've effectively given up on finishing G. I. Joe, so I've started to re-read Hitman, I'd say it's a good call.

Staying in the same world of 'Ice and Fire', with the graphic adaptation of the Hedge Knight. The story is not as broad, but it's still very interesting just to learn of 'Egg and Dunk'.
