so this is a pretty international community, and I was curious if anyone else enjoys Formula One here?

I used to enjoy it, but those new engines take all the sound away. You used to be able to feel the roar of the cars from miles away, now they sound like washing machines or something quietly humming away on the road. No noise makes it boring for me.

eh the sound being queiter doesn't really bother me too much. It means that I can have the TV turned up a bit more for those late night/early Morning races. It is a bit of a shame but yea.

I've never really been in to watching it on TV. I do watch it, but for me the whole fun of it was being there, hearing the roar and feeling that sound. Where I live in Melbourne, the F1 track is actually pretty close to me. And I used to be able to hear it clearly from my house. While some people hated it I loved it! But now it's ruined for me, the whole atmosphere is gone, and I find that my interest in the sport has almost 100% dissapeared... along with that great sound.

I'm so incredibly jealous. I wish I lived closer to a track. I could always go see the Rolex Sports Car series at Elkhart Lake but eh.

My favourite part is the flyovers by the air force jets haha. Even though the cars aren't loud anymore, the jets still are.
