Do you always feel like gaming, or are there times when you just have no drive to game at all?
I personally go through stages of how much I want to game. There are times when all I want to do is play and and all games for as long as possible, and other times where I go for months without having any strong urge to game.
Right now I'm in one of my gaming "slumps". It's been at least 2 months now since I've really gamed a lot. I've been busy with Uni, and choosing to read and watch TV shows in my spare time rather than gaming. Not sure how long this slump will last for, but I'm thinking I'll be back into a gaming mood over the winter holidays.

yes. I am going on about 3 weeks without really doing anything game-wise. then again it's been rather busy at work and when I get home at night I never really feel like gaming. something that will probably change a bit tonight cause I rented the South Park game and want to give it a try while I have it. Plus this upcoming weekend I will probably buy an Xbox One so that will probably invigorate my gaming desire.

I'm like you guys. Sometimes you just don't feel like gaming. You want to do other things instead. Other times, you want to all-out binge on games, and so that's all you do. And then there are times when you limit yourself to one or two hours of it every night. It really depends on your mood.

well I was enjoying the South Park game up until my Xbox shut off on me. hoping it's nothing terminal, but I think my power cord has finally given up on life.

It doesn't happen very often, but I also sometimes don't feel like gaming. Yesterday, for example. Although I would have loved to play online with my brother I didn't feel like gaming at all, but that was mostly because I felt a bit lethargic yesterday after work. However, these stages never last more than a couple of days.

Sometimes I will go weeks without gaming, realize it, and get disgusted with myself. Other times I game pretty much every day.
My gaming mood for what game I'm playing changes too. So I have a lot of unfinished games >_>

Haha Liv, if weeks disgust you, I wonder how you would feel with like 4 months, which is probably my longest time without gaming.

I think the longest I've gone is a month and a half to 2 months. but yea, especially during the summer when there's nothing really coming out I tend to lean more towards books then video games.

Think I'm the opposite from you guys in that I like it when I'm not in the mood to game, as I'm a lot more productive then. Probably because I spent my uni years developing something of a moba addiction I'm still trying to shake.

Yeah, if it's games like Tetris or anything to do with matching shapes and colours or busting jewels of some description, then I'm completely addicted too. That's why I tend to shy away from those kinds of games and stick with stuff I know I'll be able to put down after an hour and still feel satisfied.

i am terrible. i am a gaming perfectionist, so if i can figure out a game i will restart it 40+ times trying, then give up and go off it. perfect examples are roleplaying games. i can't have what i consider a substandard character.

I'm the same way. if I don't get everything I can possibly get in a game or if there's a bug that screwed it up I will always restart no matter how far I am. I went through about 20 main characters in Skyrim cause I couldn't get the look right.

I'm sometimes in a phase of playing various genres. For example adventure games or RPGs.Not always though.
I also think that certain games are to be enjoyed in different seasons or time of the day.For example games that involve winter or snow etc. are usually best played during autumn, winter etc. And adventure games are best enjoyed at night, with a clear mind and quiet.
