Did anybody else watch the Olympics in Russia this year? My son came home from school raving about them and got our household hooked on them. I really missed them when they were over, which is weird for me because I rarely watch sports at all.

I watched as much as I could. had the whole last week recorded on my DVR waiting for my mom to want to watch and she thought noone was going to watch it anymore so deleted it. I was pretty pleased with what I saw though. except I was pulling for Russia in hockey and that fell flat. Oh well Datsyuk still has his Stanley Cup wins so it's all good.

I always watch the opening ceremony, of every Olympics and Winter Olympics. I'm really into big ceremonies. I like the sports too, and watched a fair few of them. Russia was a mess but it was okay in the end.

We really got into figure skating and hockey this time around and the skiing was great too. I felt so bad for the US ladies team. They looked positively miserable getting their silver medals.

of course they did, it's only like the fifth time they got silver to Canada in a row.
I surprisingly got into figure skating during the Olympics. not really my thing but the Olympics always have a way of doing stuff like that.

I'm just amazed most of those people at the Winter Olympics were still alive at the end. Some of those downhill events were insane!

of course they did, it's only like the fifth time they got silver to Canada in a row. Yes, but also because the US team had a 2-0 lead with only a few minutes to go in the game and it looked like they were going to win it. The Canadian team managed to tie it up by getting two goals as the game was ending. That put it into sudden death overtime and the Canadians got the first goal to win it. It was a nail-biter of a game, even for a non-hockey-fan like myself!

lol. sounds like Vancouver all over again just for the women. Yup... Vancouver was mentioned. Apparently the two women's teams had a real rivalry going too, which didn't help matters
