The seven city states of Bristenya have shared a long and colorful of war and peace with each other and with neighboring kingdoms off of the island itself, but the last four years have seen a particularly long break in conflicts due in large part to the efforts of one man, Martel of Rem. a skilled politician and populist, Martel has worked tirelessly to preserve the peace and has managed to found a central council in which delegates from each of the city states may meet and attempt to diplomatically handle any disputes that arise as well as working toward the betterment of the kingdom itself and improving and developing relations with the neighboring nations. Unfortunately Martel, while popular with many, is not universally endorsed. In particular a rebellion led by Bacchus of Hurshu, and seemingly possessing resources beyond anything a solider of no more distinction than Bacchus ever previously achieved should have access to, threatens to smother Martel's fledgling government in its crib. Intrigue and betrayal abound as Martel deals with rivals within the new senate and his recently hired team of mercenaries, the Counsel of Swords work to find and eliminate Bacchus and whatever force is pulling his strings.
This should be a good old fashioned fantasy style rpg, mid level magical abilities allowed(if you try to power word death I will personally have your character eaten by rabid squirrels; you can be strong but you're not melting an army), character races allowed will include dwarves, elves, orcs, humans, gnomes, and goblins. Other races(and half breeds) may be allowed provided they're cleared with me and all relevant information is made clear as such(I've had allowing this blow up in my face before, if I let you have something besides these races there will be strict limits placed on what that kind of stuff allows for).
Player limit cap: five players, multiple characters are allowed.
This will also be a limited rpg, meaning there will be a distinct plot and a definitive ending. I've been in a lot of rpgs that stopped being fun because the dm wanted to make it run forever, there are other tales to be told and it's sometimes better to know when the story of one particular cast is through.
