Out of the three, which one do you want or like the most? In the poll I was going to add "all three", but really, who wouldn't want all three. So I left it out to get a better idea of which consoles are more popular here. As for me I don't have any of these consoles right now, but the one I want most out of the 3 is the PS4.

I will eventually have all three but I am going to be getting an Xbox One tomorrow so I kinda have to vote for it. the Wii U still confuses me a bit as to how it's better or even different to the original Wii. and I really don't have a preference between the other two except that I've put a lot of time into my XBL gamertag and I don't really want to give it all up and start from scratch on a PS4

We will eventually own all three as well, but I'm hoping we get the XBone first because it's my XBox360 was preferred console out of the three predecessors.

I don't think we'll ever have an Xbox1. Considering what happened at first and the changes they applied to appease the audience. You come out with a weaker console, yet it's the most expensive one, just because you get a kinect with it? I'm not really interested in the Kinect. It might be more advanced than the previous one, but until you can really use it for games I'm really interested in, not games exclusively made for the Kinect, then I'm not not buying it.

Although I love my XBox 360 (and I loved the old XBox) the Xbox One is pretty much the last console I'd want to buy. I'd love to have a PS3, but I'm not really interested in the PS4 (unless it was backwards compatible, which it isn't, AFAIK). I picked the WiiU, although I'm not sure I'll ever really want to buy it. I'd be interested in playing ZombieU, but I've never bothered to do any research about it. I'd have to see how many interesting games there are for it before I could decide to get one.

The PS4 isn't backwards compatible in terms of using PS3 or PS2 discs, but eventually it will have access to a library of basically all Playstation games, so you will be able to play those older games. Don't know how long until that though.

I also don't know why I'd want the kinect but I don't mind having it. it can come in handy when you're feeling particularly lazy.

I'd say you'd have to pay for all of them. Although a lot of them are really cheap, and the PS+ membership gives out about 5 free games a month, which would end up costing WAY more than the price of becoming a member, so it ends up being pretty good for your wallet to join PS+.

I will keep it in mind when I get around to getting a PS.

I have absolutely no desire to own anything Xbox. Microsoft's consoles simply don't have anything on them that I'd want to play. And if I was made of money and the backwards compatible thing wasn't an issue, I'd buy a PS4. I have a PS3 though, so that'll do me for now at least.
No, I already have the console I really wanted. Wii U is a joy to use, and there have already been some great little games on it, so I'm very happy with my purchase. Nintendo usually have the kinds of games I want to play which is why I prefer them over the others.

how bulky is the gamepad for the Wii U? I'm just asking out of curiosity.
I recently bought my XBone and I love it. definitely not without it's problems but all in all it's a great system. I wrote a review about it shortly after I got it and yea. my review score was a 7/10 and I think I still stand by that. I did hear that they're releasing one without the Kinect for $300 but I don't know I don't actually mind the Kinect that much.

From what I'd read, the Kinect on XBone is a vast improvement over the previous version, but it seems from your review that it's actually not that user friendly. Maybe I've misunderstood you though... Nevertheless, I'm glad you're enjoying your purchase. It's a fantastic thing to be playing the games you like on the console of your choice. We're lucky to have that kind of choice really. As for the Wii U GamePad, the measurements are about 25 × 13 × 3 cm (about the size of an A5 notebook I suppose). It's very light in the hands, and initially it feels weird to hold (especially if you're used to traditional controllers), but after you've been using it for a few minutes it feels very VERY comfortable. And, actually, I feel like I have a little more stability when I'm playing games with it. It's a fantastic little controller!

From what I read the Kinect is mostly used for voice commands. I think fans have complained enough that they want the Xbox1, but don't want a Kinect. So they'll be bringing out (confirmed) the Xbox1 without a Kinect, while Xbox1 with Kinect will still be sold and you can buy the Kinect separately for ones who don't want one, but might want to buy it in the future. Apparently this will also boost the Xbox1's power, because a part of it is given to the Kinect, which means that the performance will be stronger for the Xbox1 without the Kinect. This also means that concerning pricing the Xbox1 is on par with the PS4, which will likely boost the sales for the console. And I agree with Taliesin. The Wii U pad might look large and bulky, but it's very practical to use. I was also in the beginning concerned about the size of the gamepad. But those are gone now, especially when you can enjoy the extra features it has, that you don't get with other controllers.

yea the Kinect is really for voice commands. in Forza 5 it has a head tracking thing which is cool but it gets screwed up really quick and then you have to recalibrate it which is a pain cause you have to wait a bit before doing so. I would say that it is a bit better then the 360 Kinect though because it does pick up your voice better but for me it doesn't sign me in when I turn it on which bothers me a bit.
