so there's talk that another book might be coming out for Christopher Paolini's Inheritance Cycle, but no definitive time during that worlds history. what are your thoughts and if there has been an announcement then it'll be news to me. did you ever read the books starting with Eragon and ending with Inheritance? discuss.

I read Eragon when I was younger, and I read about half of the second book, but then lost interest. It was a long time ago. I found the series sort of lacking. I didn't think they were bad, but there was nothing about them that really stood out to me and made me want to keep reading. If I read them again now I may see it differently. I first read them years ago.

compared to other works it is very lacking but I felt that the last one kinda picked up a bit. the second book was atrocious.

Ah is it? That's the one that I couldn't get through haha, now I feel like I should have kept going and made it to the third.

yea I had to stop about halfway because it was so dull. the only cool part of it was when they were in the dwarven city and the training was kinda cool when he was with the elves but other then that it was a steaming pile of dung in my opinion. it definitely picked up afterwards though.

I've heard that Christopher Paolini was supposedly about 16 when he started writing that series...

That's pretty darn good for a kid that age!

Yes it is good for a kid that age; a lot of people say that he only got published because of his dad =P
However; I started reading Eragon. Never made it threw, had to get it a second time and wound up returning it late to get threw it. It baord me near to death!
The second book however marked a great improvement, it kept me entertainer.
I found that with the third his writing abilities had increased greatly. I have read all four of them and I must say that I love them. I would greatly like him to continue the story. I want to know what happened to his half brother!! I loved what he did with that character.
and I could say more about Eragon and the elf girl; but I don't want to give any spoilers for people thinking about reading them.

I'm kinda the opposite with the first 2 books. I found the first one much better then the second. the only parts I enjoyed in the second was the first half up until Eragon is through most of his training.

I think I liked the second one more; because you focused on other people. Like his cousin and what was going on in the village he left. And I liked learning more about the elves as a people and the princess who was so much better then in the movie.
