I was just now watching funny cat videos on youtube. I was having a great time, and then there was a clip of two cats torturing a baby wild iguana in the grass. The "funny" part was that the iguana attacked one of the cats at the end and it got scared.
First off, that's exactly how my iguana died. Being tortured by our two cats. It's not fucking funny when that happens.
Secondly, why are you such a piece of shit that you're going to let your cats torture another animal that isn't doing anyone any harm. If I find my cats torturing a moth, I shoo them away and take the moth outside. Yeah sure, cats will be cats, they're predatory animals and help to get rid of pests. When we had a cockroach infestation due to our entire town having cockroach issues, the cats were there to help us out with the extermination process. But why would you let your cats harm an innocent animal that is not a pest? Keep your fucking animals under control you cruel piece of shit.
Besides all that, my day is just fucking ruined at getting to see what probably went down when my best friend was killed by our cats. Fuck this. Fuck cats. Fuck people.

First things first. Hugs.
Okay, now onto the other stuff...
I couldn't agree more. It's true, cats are just doing what cats do, but that doesn't mean the moron human being holding the camera should film it all. I've never understood why some people find the suffering of an animal something to be laughed at. As far as that iguana's concerned, it's fighting for its very life, and indeed it is because some arsehole of a human being would sooner delight in its distress than help it out.
No, I can understand why you're so upset about this. I'm grateful that you didn't provide a link to said video. I have no interest in seeing such things, even if just to fuel my outrage. I'm outraged enough as it is.

It's ridiculous and inhumane to even let the cats "play" with it momentarily. I obviously don't know how the situation ended, but letting your animal attack another for your own amusement is just wrong. I'd like to go to their house with a full grown iguana and see what they do when I let it "play" with their cats.
I'm glad this is outrageous to other people as well, obviously I have emotional investment in this sort of thing (and almost had a panic attack thanks to it, PTSD is great), but beside my own personal dealings with this, it's just plain wrong and honestly, fucking stupid.

Although I'm an absolute cat lover (I love cats in general, but not all cats, if that makes sense - just like humans, some are total *ssholes) I totally agree with you two. Sure, cats are cats, and they are predators, but when there are humans around they better make sure the cats play with their toys and not with other sentient beings! What the hell. Watching and filming your cat "play with" another animal is pretty much like torturing the animal yourself. That is just sick. >:[

Exactly, and I would add that the human being is more culpable than the cat because the human being should know better.

No I wasn't blaming the cats at all. I don't like cats, but I don't hate all cats. I just hate mine. And some day I'd like to have just ONE cat that doesn't do awful things that I've had from kittenhood.

Ugh Liv I'm sorry you had to see that. Any dick who would watch that and film it without helping the iguana deserves to be attacked by two adult tigers to see how they like it.
