It's reasonable to assume there'd be an abundance of towns and villages outside the main cities. The island we're on isn't gargantuan, but it's reasonably big to accomodate all the types of geography we're looking at here.
Also:
Gartol: Northernmost city
Rem: Rem is fairly centrally located, if you don't hit Nurcoth coming from the outlands the first city you're likely to come to is Rem
Hurshu: The most south easterly city in the land
Thresia: to the far east of the country, the mountain range it's in runs across much of the coast until it drops off into the plains that house Jeva Jewel of the East
Nurcoth: The forests that make up the outlands eventually give way to plains before coming to the forest that houses Nurcoth, the most westerly city in the land
Jeva Jewel of the East: Unsurprisingly the most easterly city in the land, roughly on the middle line of the country
Jraken Hall: roughly midway between Nurcoth and Rem horizontally on the map, but much further north

If someone from out side the main city was to ask around Rem on who to speak to on matters such as raids and bandits; who/where would they be pointed too?
Like I can make someone up; but what rank/office would you want them to be of? Peacekeepers? people who just push papers? rangers? Military paper pushers or low ranked officers?

I'm going to go ahead and say make up what you want for that, I'd assume it'd be someone in the military but it's not directly related to the main plot thread so i want to give you freedom to do whatever.

We're not likely to go at a break neck pace so we should all be good regardless.

Apparently we're entertaining tonight so I won't have anything up, but by weekend's end definitely.

Basically, you can get work trying to bring down the Council, even better if you join the big melee as they're escaping, work for Martel and I can give you a direction there, or try to integrate yourself into the Council's main storyline

don't sweat it, we're okay with taking it slow. Quality is what matters.
