Yes, what about comics? I have been getting more into them recently for whatever reason and what's your favorite and what do you recommend?
Recently I have been reading the Marvel NOW! Black Widow comics and they are pretty rad to be honest.

It depends on what kinds of comics you're talking about. I find that most everybody else is reading superhero stuff, so I often don't have much to say as that's not what I'm into. However, if you were to include other kinds of comics within the scope of this conversation then I'd have plenty to add!
So, my favourites are the Love and Rockets series by the Hernandez Bros, anything by Adrian Tomine, and anything by Osamu Tezuka.

well I'm not much for comics, mostly cause when I read I like to just read and not have to follow the pictures as well but I have been thinking of getting into manga's a bit more and to prevent a billion different threads for the same sort of thing I will ask here. any good ones you all would suggest?

A comic is a comic is a comic...so I guess that includes any kind of graphic literature. What is Love and Rockets about/ what is it?? It's basically an independent comic series that has been going since the early 80s, and it's about two different casts of characters in two different settings going through their everyday lives. The first cast of characters lives in a fictional Mexican village called Palomar, and the second in Los Angeles with a particular focus on two friends (who are sometimes lovers), Maggie and Hopey. It's brilliantly written and drawn, and is still going today. I still haven't caught up with everything that's out there of this series. well I'm not much for comics, mostly cause when I read I like to just read and not have to follow the pictures as well but I have been thinking of getting into manga's a bit more and to prevent a billion different threads for the same sort of thing I will ask here. any good ones you all would suggest? I'm not sure what genres of comics you might be interested in within the realm of manga so I'll just suggest the following two. First there's NausicaƤ of the Valley of the Wind which was written and drawn by Hayao Miyazaki of Studio Ghibli fame. It's a post-apocalyptic environmental/humanist tale of a young princess who struggles to bring about a peaceful coexistence between the people and insect creatures of the world. It's brilliantly written, and the black and white art is simply sublime. This is among the best manga you'll ever read. And then there's the original Astro Boy manga by Osamu Tezuka. It's science fiction. It's about robots. And it's pulp fiction at its finest.

Well I do not know what you are into specifically...But Berserk is very good, albeit very violent. But the characters are very well written and whatnot.

I really liked Marvel's Runaways series. It's one of the only comic series I've read from start to finish.

Runaways is about a group of teenagers with super powers who's parents were all in this league of supervillains.
It sounds lame but it's actually awesome. And the greatest part about it is that you can buy it all really easily. It has a start and an end. It's not a super long series. It's so great to have a superhero series that you can read from start to finish.
I find all the big superheroes have been around since the 30's, 40's or 50's and span across countless series, spin-offs story archs mash up series etc. Runaways is good because it's all there neatly in one complete series.

yeah beginnings and ends are nice...but sometimes a bit bitter-sweet becaise you become friends withe chasracters...and then they are just...done. Which is sad.

It's true, but I sort of OCD when it comes to completing things, so the though of trying to follow one of those classic heroes hurts my head sometimes. There's just so much of them and it spans over so many years and it's this huge complicated web that is impossible to follow. It's why Runaways was so refreshing to me as a superhero comic.

Yeah. I am just glad they rebooted a lot of them and kinda started a new series to make it a bit easier to follow.
But yeah, maybe I will look into it one day.

Batwoman is amazing actually, or at least it started off very good, I haven't read it for a while. I hear some people say the writers changed and it went down a little bit but I'm not sure. Comics are super expensive here so I don't own that many.
