Okay, first of all I don't for a second expect anyone here to donate money. I'm only making a thread for this in the off chance that one of you lovely people may have a spare $5 laying around that you would like to put to a good cause. My friend Shelby is doing an online fundraiser to raise money for a new car. To explain a little bit about her, she is 22 and has already had 24 surgeries in her life. She is right now on a waiting list for 4 more surgeries. She has spina bifida and cannot walk, stand or even sit up for long periods of time, and needs a wheelchair most of the time. The problem is her car has died, and it's really hard to get around with a wheelchair on trains, trams, buses etc, so she really needs a car to be able to visit people and do things like grocery shopping. Her full story is on the page. Again, I don't expect anyone here to donate, but if you do have a spare dollar or two this is a good cause, trust me. I've been friends with this girl a couple of years now and she's one of the kindest people I know, she is in almost constant pain and faces so many troubles each day but somehow remains a caring and compassionate person to everyone around her. Even one or two dollars can go a long way to people who are suffering financially. Here is the link for her fundraiser: www.gofundme.com/9j1nck

I just donated a bit - it's not much, but I guess every dollar counts. I also shared this on Twitter, although I only have a hand full of followers, but still, who knows who might see this. Let's try to restore some faith in humanity!

Thank you SO much Firiath! Every single dollar counts, and thanks heaps for sharing it on twitter too. My friend and I have contacted people in radio as we are trying to spread the word about it.

If you can't donate even just sharing on FB so more people can see it makes a HUGE difference.

Well, this fundraiser is for a friend of mine who has surgery 24 times, can't stand, walk or sit for very long and is in almost constant pain because she is suffering from debilitating diseases. But if you think you owning more TV show merchandise is as important as that then....

Yes, I knew you were kidding I just wasn't sure why you would pick such a serious issue to "joke" about. Poor taste dude.
