Yes, I like a good mix of 2D, 3D and stop motion animation, not that 3D can't be amazing though, look at the trailer for the Book of Life that I uploaded.

I totally agree with you. 3D can be (and often is) amazing. It's just that it's the only thing I see released any more (well, it seems that way anyway). It's for that reason that I'm going to miss seeing a new Miyazaki film every few years or so. Sigh.

The biggest problem is that cinemas often only show the big blockbuster animated films. So the Pixar's, Disney's, Dreamworks etc. There still are amazing 2D animated films out there they just don't often make it to the major cinemas which sucks, it makes it so much harder to track them down.

And consequently harder to get financed to even be made in the first place. It's a crying shame.

Tis, usually one or two of them every year get nominated for an Oscar, but most of the people who vote for that dismiss them as "kids films", don't even watch them and then vote for the only one they heard of.
