well, while walking with my mother in a shopping centre last week 2 Kiwi gentlemen approached us, told me my beard was awesome and asked how long it took for me to grow it, when i replied that it got to that length in 4-6 weeks they complimented my manly beard growing abilities.
tomorrow i buy myself a beard trimmer to tidy it up and start to train it to grow in directions i want it to grow in.

Oh Taz.... Since you have magnificent beard growing abilities you should go for the dwarf-lord look. That would be awesome...lol.

You don't REALLY have to, do you? Just shave a cat or something and give 'em the fur off of that about... say, two months from now. You can just pretend that your hair and beard grew back in the meantime.

I wish my beard grew out fuller then it does. I'm getting there but it's still a bit clumpy.

That's a good question. I've often wondered that myself. Maybe someone with a wise, all-knowing air and impressive beard might be able to tell us. Or, better still, Crouton.

"Kiwi is the nickname used internationally for people from New Zealand,[1] as well as being a relatively common self-reference. The name derives from the kiwi, a flightless bird, which is native to, and the national symbol of, New Zealand. Unlike many demographic labels, its usage is not considered offensive; it is generally viewed as a symbol of pride and endearment for the people of New Zealand."

Yeah, but WHY Kiwi of all things? That'd be like all Aussies referring to themselves as... I dunno, numbats? Or Americans calling themselves gophers? Or Africans flamingos? Ha ha.

Not numbats, they aren't a huge national symbol/icon for us. It'd be more like calling us kangaroo's since they are more like a national icon and everyone knows them. In the first world war the symbol for the NZ military was the Kiwi, and those soldiers became known as kiwi's which is probably where it started.
