Cabin in the Woods is one of the best movies I've ever seen. I completely agree. None of my friends liked it and everyone said it was stupid. I was so upset.

Cabin in the Woods is almost too good to be bad. It's an amazing movie. It's not exactly scary but it's amazing.

Cabin in the Woods is almost too good to be bad. It's an amazing movie. It's not exactly scary but it's amazing. I just feel like it was purposefully going for the "B rated horror flick" style, and they did it perfectly. Anyone who wasn't smart enough to catch on as to what was really going on, didn't get the satire and beauty behind the movie. One of my best friends said "That movie was stupid" and I was like "just because you were too stupid to follow it doesn't mean the movie was stupid" Don't worry, we're mean to each other all the time lol

I think it was one of the smartest movies I've ever seen. As you can tell, I REALLY liked that movie haha. It was satire, that's for sure. They were playing on tropes and stereotypes of a genre and did it so well. But it wasn't even just a good satire, there was a deeper level of intelligence in that film.

100% agreement with you on that one, Crouton. I raved about that movie so much after I saw it and was so disappointed when the majority seemed to find it lacking. I made my boyfriend watch it twice with me until he finally got what I was talking about. I'm a proud bluray owner of the film as well lol. It was just so good.

Haha yeah, I bought it on blu-ray too and had a couple of movies nights where I made my friends come over and watch it. Everyone I've watched it with so far has loved it which is good. I haven't watched it with someone yet who didn't get it.

When I showed it to my bf the second time, we had a few friends over and they all loved it.. my friends that I saw it with though (a group of about 10 people) all had to face my wrath afterward.

And here you have it; I really liked The Cabin in the Woods;I thought it was creative; had a good plot twist, had a plot.
While Gil-Galad 360 did not like it so much; he undermined the whole plot by saying "just have an indoctrination center and there are your sacrifices and willing like the old days."

Someone mentioned Alien vs. Predator? I wouldn't call that horror. Those are sci-fi action flicks. Meant to be a bit creepy, but not real horror and those didn't creep me out. Failed miserably. Only the first Predator films was good imo. Personally I don't think there's any better Horror film than the Blair Witch Project. I love Se7en, but that's more of a thriller. Cabin in the Woods and thought it was overrated. Just bad horror films like the most out these days. The old horror films were good like Halloween, the Thing. The original version of the Fog, which focuses more on sound effects rather than blood and gore.

Blair Witch Project although by today's standards a bit boring,it is one of the most classic horror movies and the one that really brough the "found footage" genre into the scene.Although it's not the first movie that used the found footage style. I also like the second Blair Witch movie although it was supposed to be much much different in a lot of parts from what I read on wikipedia I think, but still it's a nice horror flick to watch during a weekend with friends.

I tired to watch it twice and it seemed so pointless...... I will have to give it another shot; it has been a long time.

One time I rented a movie on a whim because I wanted to watch a horror movie...this is almost always a bad idea if you have never heard of the movie omg.. But I picked up this movie called Mr. Hush...and good lord it was so bad...it was never confirmed to me, but I just have a feeling it was supposed to be funny...because it was SO bad.
