Clock Tower are classic horror games,I'm playing the first one on SNES emulator. Yeah but it feels like a breath of fresh air compared to all these western styled slenderman page collection inspired first person horror games. Even how much Gone Home is similar to those games nearly turned me away. I'm hard to please with this genre though, I have a list of things about Gone Home that irked me that I can't go over because they spoil moments.

All types of horror games effect me haha, I'm such a wimp. But I do admit that something like Gone Home messes with my head a lot more than something like Amnesia does when I play that. Amnesia puts all the horror right in front of you, where as Gone Home basically gives you and outline and makes you fill in the gaps with your own mind. When compared to games that make all the horror aspects for you this can sometimes be more scary.

Sheesh, if you're going to beg at least wait for the Steam sale to roll over. Also Gone Home is notoriously high priced which has been part of a futile debate to discredit it.
I have legitimate gripes about it still, not enough to hold back a recommendation though. But also spoilers ahhh. Does this forum have spoiler text?

I think I bought it in one of the sales. I buy almost all my steam games in the sales.

Just click on the yellow-face icon at the extreme right of the "create post" screen. It kinda looks like it's saying "shhh" or something. I hope that helps.

Lol it's the darn crisis.Ever since I heard a friend of mine had someone buy him Watch Dogs on Steam as a gift I think people will buy me a game as a gift.
Is it really worth playing?

I've bought gifts for people on steam before, it's really easy and a good way of doing things, especially if it's a friends birthday or something.

From what I read,Gone Home isn't a horror game but rather an exploration game

The atmosphere in the house scares me. It's the mood, they set it up with a deliberately scary feel to it. Also, without spoiling the situation faces by the character in the game is quite scary in itself, because it feels real and relatable.

Are pop-ups disabled on your browser maybe?
