I loved this movie! I liked it more than I expected to. It was so beautiful, and so funny. I actually want to see it a second time in the cinema. So much detail, it's hard to take it all in at once. Anyone else seen it?

I have, and I'm quite surprised at how much I loved it. I really wasn't expecting much from this movie to be honest with you. I mean, come on, a CGI flick based on a toy line? When does that ever work out? But, nope, they did it here, and it rocks.
My favourite thing ever about The LEGO Movie was Batman's song Untitled Self Portrait. For those who haven't heard it, here it is. And if you haven't heard it, then that means you haven't seen the film. Drop everything and go see it. NOW. (Listen to the song first though.)

Haha Batman was great, and I loved BadCop so much. The scene with his parents made me laugh so much. "Everytime I talk to your wife you move, I want you to stay still).

Yeah, the humour was spot on, wasn't it! The G rating had me wondering if this was going to be my cup of tea at all, as I thought it was going to be wildly skewed towards a much younger audience, but it's something that anybody can go see and thoroughly enjoy. It makes sense though that the film makers would aim for as large a movie going demographic as possible with this. There would be many people my age who'd have fond memories of playing with Lego as children. Heck, I want to go and dig out my personal stash right now...

This was an Australian film as well, did you know that? All the animation was done in Sydney. Well, Australian/American film.
The two guys who made this also made Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs which I love. They have the same humour in both films so I had high hopes for this.

I wasn't aware of any of that. And Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs was a great film. I had so much fun with that one!
It seems The LEGO Movie was in good hands after all, eh?

Yeah. I recently watched Cloudy 2 actually. I was worried about it since it had a different director, since the originals were busy off making the LEGO movie and other things, but I actually really enjoyed the sequel, even with different directors.

I've been avoiding the sequel for that very reason. I wasn't convinced that it would live up to the first, but if you enjoyed it then there's a good chance I might too.

The LEGO movie was awesome (yes...pun intended because of that song )! My hubby and I took our kids to see it and all four of us laughed like idiots. It really is an all ages flick.

It really is. My Mum took an 8 year old to see it when she was babysitting and even my Mum liked it, which was surprising to me, I didn't think she would be into that type of film.

A co-worker of mine took her 7 year old grandson to see it. She showed up at work one day singing the "Everything is Awesome" song, managing to get it spinning inexorably through my head as well. Then the pair of us couldn't get rid of it for the rest of the day. Now whenever we need to cheer each other up or when we're having a stressful day at work we start humming it and then we break out laughing. Stupid, stupid song. I just love to hate it...lol

Haha yes, it gets stuck in your head so badly. I couldn't stop singing it for days after I saw it.
