My current number was 3. I wish it was way higher though, I love surrounding myself with animals.

none since I'm not allowed to have pets at my house.

I wish I had a pet. We aren't allowed to keep any where we are right now though. If we could, I'd have a black cat and a black and white border collie. I'd need to be able to give the dog plenty of exercise though, so where we currently live would not be the ideal place for it at all.

Haha, I also live in a place with a no pets rule. It is hard hiding all these animals whenever there is an inspection, but to my room-mate and I it's worth it. I can easily see why people wouldn't want to risk it though. We can be a bit nervous at times about getting caught.

I certainly wouldn't risk it around here. Too many of our neighbours would know, and then the cat would be out of the bag, so to speak.

We have two pets in the house...one cat and one guinea pig. Technically, the pig isn't mine though. She's my son's baby.

I own 3 lizards, 2 cats, a fish, and soon to be a snake. I MIGHT be getting my old lizards back that I gave away, I wouldn't be surprised because the person I gave them to always jokingly asks me if I want them back lol

None at my place, but as some of you know my parents have 4 cats, of which I consider one to be mine. But as I only see him on the weekends I didn't count him in this poll, because my parents and brothers take care of him when I'm at my place.

I own one horse and one rabbit.
Looked into buying another horse, a dog and a cat. I guess we want a big family. We also want sheep, donkeys, a pig, a goat. I'm sure my boyfriend wants a horse too. The list is never ending. A house with land will be needed.

He is my mom's bird mostly. They are very one-person animals. Buutt I do not think they are as expensive here as they are there.

Yeah they are crazy here. I just looked at the website for a local pet store, and African Grey is $5,500 for a hand-reared bird. It's a shame because their high price and value here means they are sometimes stolen from stores .

Oh wow! That is crazy....we got ours as a baby..so we hand fed him and stuff. They are cheaper at that age.

I don't know anywhere that sells them as babies here. They are really rare and most stores only get one or two birds a year. And it's hard to track down breeders, I think there is only one in my whole state. In a way I like that. I think African Greys are awesome but they are an introduced species, and we don't need heaps of them here in case they accidentally escape and fuck up our environment. You can get a lot of native birds here as pets.
