soooooo, i keep getting asked "what are guilds?"
Guilds are a loose association of members with similar ideas. In fantasy terms there may be an "Elven guild" or a "Dwarven guild" or simply an "Assassins guild"
as an example from TFF, we have "The guild of fellowship", the only guild to have survived, which i would define as a social guild. previous to this we had the "Grey alliance" a wolf guild, and the "Dark Abyss", a demonic/vampire/magic style guild.
each guild is responsible for its own threads and environment, where anything goes, as an example, the grey alliance was a story based guild where, after wolf left, the guild set out on a pilgrimage to find themselves a new home.
roleplaying is traditionally a major part of guild life, an example of which is the daily, social, roleplaying which occurs in the guild of fellowship, bar fights between members are not only common, but encouraged as it creates an atmosphere of fun.
guilds are what you make them. if you want an ultra serious artists guild similar to the "Art house" on tff, then go for it.
guilds here will be slightly different. i am allowing guild wars. lets say you have a drow guild, and another member has an elven guild, as long as both guilds are war types then you can have roleplaying battles between the 2, including raiding (possibly for gold, but since no one has even asked yet, i havent looked too far into this)
as part of the forum gold system, guilds will also have their own gear available for sale, including weapons and armour which may be used in guild wars and roleplaying events (pending approval of the games master for each game)
there we have it.
i will leave this thread open to try and answer questions
