I'm making a solo thread for this game since I'm so excited for it. The Tomb Raider reboot was one of my favourite games last year. If not my absolute favourite for the whole year. I was actually surprised to see Tomb Raider at E3, I didn't expect a new game so soon. I hope it's as good as the first one. Who here played the first one?

I played the first one and thought it was a big step from the other games. Sometimes I thought it was repetitive, but overall the game got in 'Uncharted' territory. So yeah, I'm also very curious about the next one, though there are other games I saw on E3 that I want more than Rise of the Tomb Raider (don't like the title)

When Uncharted was first released many people referred to it as "Tomb Raider with a male lead", so it's not surprising they had some similarities. I think the reboot did well in creating interest in the character again for me. I was never a huge Lara Croft fan but now I am into Tomb Raider again in a big way.
I'm also not a fan of the title as well.

Lol I was playing Murdered Soul Suspect the other night and I read a woman's thought in the game and she was thinking "What's the name of that game with the woman that raids tombs?"

I'm also not a fan of the title as well. Sure enough, IGN once made an article about this. Uncharted is a Tomb Raider rip-off. However it is better than Tomb Raider. Despite that the last one was much better than any Tomb Raider game, I still didn't think it was better than any of the Uncharted games. Though I did really enjoy it and will be looking greatly forward to it.

Yeah Uncharted was almost like a Tarantino movie. They took all this stuff from existing films and games and just stitched it all together to make this amazing piece of art. As far as the new Tomb Raider goes, I think it was probably better than Uncharted 1, for me personally anyway. That was a great game but so early on they still had a lot of refining to do. It doesn't go anywhere near Uncharted 2 though. That game is almost perfection.

I played the first Tomb Raider, still have to finish it but I played it and enjoyed it, except the multiplayer. I am very curious what they do with the next one. I don't remember a setting, so if there was one I'd have to watch the trailer again.

I'm so sick of the "rise" titles...Every movie and game the last 5 years is called "Rise of" something. Rise of this, rise of that, rise of the other.Sooooo annoying! Rise of the Lycans,Rise of the Fallen,Rise of my...ahem.

to be fair, Rise of the Lycans made sense cause it was about their revolution.

Agreed, that's why many fans pissed me off when they were predicting episode II or III was going to have the title 'Rise of the Empire'. Funnily enough the 300 sequel has the title 'Rise of an Empire'

I got Rise of the Tomb Raider, and what I have played of it, f-ing amazing. unfortunately it was released a week after Fallout 4, and me getting a PS4 so it kinda didn't get a lot of time, but I did start it which is something.
