I saw this film yesterday and it was well... terrible. I saw it out of love for Scarlett Johannson, and while she was good in it the director just made this film silly in the end. I dunno it's like he was trying to make it super artistic but it got to the point of just being ridiculous. The story itself wasn't bad, it was just executed in an unfortunate way that makes this probably the worst film I've seen so far this year.
But hell, even if I hated it at least it was an action movie with a female lead that made a lot of money at the box office, that's always a positive.

My best friend watched it a while ago and also said it was horrible. Full of scientific bullsh*t that would make anyone facepalm. I told another friend of mine, and he said he'd still want to watch it because it's Scarlett Johansson kicking butt. I never asked him whether he actually liked it. I might watch it at home some day, to see what it's all about.

I saw it out of love for Scarlett Johannsson and I dunno, I didn't think the plot and idea itself was terrible, even if that science has been dis-proven, it just ended up being so bad that it was almost painful to watch in some scenes.

Lucy is a 2014 English-language French science fiction action film written and directed by Luc Besson and produced by his wife Virginie Besson-Silla for his company Europacorp. The film was shot in Taipei, Paris and New York City. It stars Scarlett Johansson, Morgan Freeman, Choi Min-sik and Amr Waked. Johansson portrays the title character, a woman who gains psychokinetic abilities when a nootropic drug is absorbed into her bloodstream. The film was released on July 25, 2014, and became a box office success,[6] grossing over $463 million, 11 times the budget of $40 million. It received positive, but also polarizing, critical reviews. Although praise was given for its themes, visuals, and Johansson's performance, a number of critics found the plot nonsensical, especially its focus on the ten percent of the brain myth and resulting abilities.

Lena01 rubbed her temples, avoiding his friend's gaze. She really was not in the mood for this. Not tonight. She just wanted the companionable solitude of a book and her favorite radio program. "I am afraid that I cannot accompany you tonight."
"What? You have to!"
"No, my dear Crouton, I do not have to do anything."
"Lena01, you can't say no. Not tonight. You don't realize what you'll be missing."
"Yes, I do, Crouton. I shall be missing the nonsencial stylings of Johasson in Lucy 2 - The awakening."
