Even better if you join the big melee as they're escaping, work for Martel and I can give you a direction there. As in Boss and his group as they are escaping??? How would that work with how private boss is; two random half elves and all. I think I will work on another char for the council thing; just ganna have to think about how I want them to be and all.Would they need to be a noble person? or just well educated? EDIT: ooohhhh what if it was like an assistant secretary/paper person who started to stand out more, maybe found information of corrupted people and is helping Martel?

If you want to try to bring them down you basically attack them, if you want to join them you can try to help them. Boss is a manipulator and opportunist, if he sees you're proving useful he'd keep them around as long as they continued, especially given the situation they were in.
As for working in the senate/Martel's storyline there's no static background, but most people who would be in the senate would probably come from a noble and educated background since in a medieval setting they'd be about the same.

Hhmmm; a bit tricky. They would not get into someone elses fight.
What would Boss do if they ran across them outside of the city?
And what woukd I need to know to bring a more political person in? I mean like; I dont have a good grasp on how all the system works or what your larger plot to work towards is.

It depends on the context, he'd either ignore them completely or they'd have to fight. Keep in mind to pretty much all onlookers the Council really does seem to have assassinated a public official, so unless your characters saw Cross(who'll be a big figure later) making his getaway they probably wouldn't want to meet up with them.
The system works a lot like the stereotypes of the old Roman senate. They all get together and debate about the best course of action for various issues. Martel's only real constant vital plot is figuring out who it is that's financing Bacchus, which is something I'll have to elaborate more on in some future posts. You may have to wait a little while before being able to get into that plotline directly although you can still make the character and start developing the world in your own way with them.

They could always run into Cross and not know whats going on and be able to give testimony later on that someone else was coming down off of a rooftop or something; I can take them back out side of the city and maybe from that you can work away for them to run into each other.
Would they have any diplomats anywhere in surrounding lands?

Yeah although they wouldn't be like a modern diplomat, and they'd mostly just be tied to the king since the senate is relatively new.
